Western Hognose
Heterodon Nasicus
Western Hognose snakes are amongst the most popular of rear fang venomous snakes currently available. They are small in size, fairly docile and very rarely bite. Younger hognoses especially have lots of personality and will hiss, pretend to bite and play dead when scared or threatened. Hognoses can get along well and may be kept together in a pair or small group if monitored closely. They come in lots of different colourations and patterns ranging from albino to reds, greens and even no patterning at all.
