Blue Tongue Skink

This Heavy bodied lizard is generally docile and inquisitive. They get their name from their bright blue tongue. When threatened they will expose their tongue and hiss. These lizards should be housed singularly as they can be hard to sex and 2 males will fight to the death over territory. Care should be taken when handling as if they are not properly supported, it can put unnecessary stress on their backs.
