Rhino Ratsnake
Gonyosoma boulengeri
Rhino Ratsnakes are a semi arboreal snake belonging to the colubrid family, they have a soft and flexible "horn" on the end of their nose which is made up of a collection of scales. This is where they get their name from. Rhino ratsnakes are said to be nocturnal, however ours have always been out in the daytime and are quite nosy snakes, this makes them a great display snakes as they are always vigilant, watching what’s happening in the room. As hatchlings they are grey/silver with dark, irregular speckling but they slowly change to an emerald green as they become adults.
